About the author
Gemma García has published articles on the poetry of Spanish peninsular poet Jaime Siles, and South American poets Gonzalo Rojas and Juan Gelman in journals Aerea and Fragmenta, and has collaborated in the edition and publication of a 16th Century Spanish-peninsular poetry collection (Studia Aurea, Girona 2016). Born in Madrid, Spain, she graduated in Spanish Language and Literature from Universidad Complutense (Madrid), and earned an MA and Doctorate at the University of Calgary, Alberta, specializing in Modern and Contemporary Latin American Poetry. As a creative writer, she published The Thin Red Line in digital and print editions (2014); more recently, her Spanish poetry collection, Sol de Nagano was released as a Chapbook publication (2021).
